The National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) is a nonprofit professional membership organization with over 945 members that supports addiction treatment providers through leadership, best practices, resources, systemic law, and policy advocacy.

NAATP’s service as a convening body brings the industry together to promote collegiality and the dissemination of best practices. They are premised on the idea that professions develop and succeed when their members communicate, collaborate, develop standards, and advocate together through a professional society.

They offer a reputable and comprehensive source of addiction service providers and supporters. All NAATP members in good standing appear in their directory and search criteria are based on facility demographics. These listings help clients understand addiction and navigate different treatment types. They also provide information to help clients distinguish trustworthy treatment services and learn how to evaluate standards of care.

Benefits of joining NAATP

Members of NAATP can enjoy a wide variety of benefits, including:

  • Salary Survey: The National Addiction Industry Salary Survey helps the national treatment provider community create fair compensation packages, recruit and keep competent staff, and manage your budget. All members that participate will receive a complimentary copy of the completed report.

  • Public policy voice: NAATP represents the addiction provider constituency in Congress and throughout the policy-making community, through the Washington DC-based Policy Representative and NAATP-PAC (Political Action Committee). NAATP is your voice and advocate in Congress and at the policy-making level.

What are the treatment program selection criteria?

Here is a list of provider member criteria to be accepted to NAATP:

  • Must provide direct professional addiction recovery services

  • Must be licensed or certified by the state in which you provide services

  • Must be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) or the Joint Commission (JCAHO) or other recognized accrediting bodies.

  • Pay and remain current for NAATP dues
