5 Best Techniques To Get Rehab Leads With Blog Posts
Optimizing your content to turn readers into leads and leads into rehab clients
Blogging is a way to connect with and inform your audience, improve SEO, generate leads, and convert leads into clients. But writing them isn’t enough. There are several steps you should take to help ensure your blogs are as effective as possible.
Consider the following:
1. CTAs
To encourage reader conversions, every blog post needs a strong call to action (CTA). For rehab owners, these CTAs should encourage your reader to contact your facility to learn more about your programs, verify their insurance coverage, and take the next steps towards admission.
CTAs should also collect information from your reader, helping business development staff with follow-ups. Your CTAs should be simple and easy for readers to submit their information and contact someone from your facility.
There are several places that you can have a CTA in your blog. As a best practice, choose one or two:
a) At the end of your blog
b) At the top of the page
c) In the hello bar- a thin, attention grabbing bar along the top of your page that is static while scrolling
d) In the text of the post- include one or two CTAs in the first half of your blog for best results. Have these in a larger font that is a different color to encourage action. This works best when it applies to the blog topic.
e) In a side bar
f) Exit intent overlay- a pop-up that appears when a reader takes an action that indicates they may leave the page (such as moving the mouse back to the top of the page)
g) In a floating scrolling popup
h) In the header or footer
i) As a sliding pop-up
j) As a full screen overlay
2. Retargeting
Retargeting uses cookies to show advertisements for your facility to those who have already visited your website. Retargeting ads can be created in Google Ads, social media, or other third party platforms, such as SharpSpring Ads or Adroll.
3. Content
Creating content that is relevant to your industry is important. You should provide your audience with information that can help answer some of their questions, position you as an industry expert, and help your readers identify the services you provide. There are also other ways to use content to your advantage when trying to convert readers to clients:
a) Persuasive content
With persuasive content, your aim is to demonstrate that you are trustworthy and can help solve the challenges your reader is facing. When striving for lead generation and collection of information, this becomes especially important. Convincing your reader that you are worthy of collecting their information will help you generate more leads and convert to clients.
b) Gated content
Creating gated content means that you make an offer to your reader in exchange for their information. For rehab owners, this can be a summary of the blog just posted, or relevant resources, such as lists of free services in a certain city. This helps to grow your list of leads and provides your readers with a better experience with your content and business.
4. Internal links
Internal links are links that redirect the reader to other areas of your site. This may be a “read more” link to a related blog, or connecting the reader to your services list, or staff bio page. Keeping the reader on your site for a longer period of time increases your ability to demonstrate your expertise, and also increase the likelihood of converting traffic to leads.
5. Engage your readers
Your readers may want more from your blogs than the information in the article. Use the opportunity to engage your readers in the comments section, create articles as a response to their inquiries, and encourage them to engage further as they interact with your content:
a) Answer every customer question
Create a FAQ section to help address common reader questions. You can also take common questions and form blog posts around them, helping your reader get an in-depth answer about the issue, and increasing your likelihood of appearing in search engine results for the topic. Add links to your programs and don’t forget to include CTAs.
b) Answer every comment and include CTAs
Much like social media, having a comments section available on your blogs can help create dialog about your expertise, services, and facility. Monitor the comments and respond to each one. Include CTAs in the comments to encourage conversions. Comments sections are a great way to generate leads, since those who are engaging in them have already learned about your facility and are interested enough to engage with your content.
c) Display contact information and/or messaging functionality
Make it easy for your reader to contact you. If you have a live chat service for your site, enable it for your blog. Display your contact information clearly throughout your site and remember to include it on your blog pages as well.
